I have to admit I feel a nice little thrill every time I see this message in WOW. I like incremental progress, and skill is really cool. I am maxed out in every skill possible on my hunter, including thrown weapons, which if you know anything about hunters you know that this is solely for
epeen points.
Somehow a search for skill in reading had some reading program from
Walnut Creek listed like number two. Walnut Creek is a cruddy little suburban hell hole about 30 miles east of here, and like most crappy towns in the Bay Area, I once dated a girl from there. She talked me into going to a museum exhibition of dioramas (Diorama-rama!) that mostly sucked, but one guy did this amazing scale seascape that I still remember. It was stunningly realistic and beautiful.
I found this killer website with all kinds of great instructions on how to
make a diorama. I also found out that
Diorama is some kind of band who all look like bit characters from
Entourage.
It should go without saying, of course, that the girl I was dating ended up dumping me. But I did see a really cool diorama.
Anyway, back to skill in reading. If you have reading problems, odds are you haven't even gotten this far into this description. However, if you are particularly stubborn and just grind through the reading here is an article on
tips to improve your reading.
The most common reading disorder seems to be
dyslexia, which affects 5 to 17% of the population, although I am not beyond diagnosing basic stupidity or laziness. If you think you suffer a different kind of learning disorder, you can learn about it from
Zapp Brannigan. Classic.
