I confess. As a kid I watched a lot of
Wonder Woman tv episodes. At age 10 there was a lot to wonder at, if you know what I mean. Lynda Carter was quite the woman.
For me as a kid the ultimate team up would have been Wonder Woman with the
Six Million Dollar Man. Hot sex appeal (
and bullet deflecting bracelets) combined with Steve Austin's bionic coolness would have been so freaking cool. I was hoping to find something like that, but my Google-fu seems weak tonight.
Maybe I'm too manly (ha ha ha ha) but I really don't get the whole Wonder Woman thing. I found this list of
top Wonder Woman quotes and to be perfectly honest, they all sound pretty lame to me. Of course, with the exception of Spiderman
most hero quotes kind of suck (a
ll the best quotes inevitably go to the super villians. "This town needs an enema!"-the Joker), but these seem even more soppy to me.
Of course, having disparaged Wonder Woman I am now in danger of losing organs near and dear to me next time I run into any of my more feminist friends. I had better find something good quick.
OK I found something, but it sucks and now has me kind of depressed. Seems Lynda Carter fought a real life battle against
alcoholism. She beat it, but it kind of ruins my image of her from the series.
I am sucking on finding good stuff tonight. Must have something to do with me trying to work at Borders to listening to high school girls giggling in the background. I am visiting my mother and believe it or not she still has a
dial up internet connection. Talk about torture.
I think I should shut off the computer, go back to my mom's, and watch Cartoon Network until I pass out. Otherwise I will write something that will get me into some real trouble. I will leave you with a really good
Wonder Woman fan site I found. I promise the next Wonder Woman shirt description will be better.
OK, I just read Winter's comments on her review of this shirt and agree. The color on this image sucked. I just re-shot it. I think this is a much better image and much closer to the actual color. Thanks for your help, Winter.
