I think they did a better job casting Logan for the movies than any other character (although I kind of liked Ed Norton as Bruce Banner).  I'm also appreciative that they didn't try to tone him down.  He was just as violent as he should be.  

Logan's real name is James Howlett, by the way.

Wolverines are really very clever animals.  They will use rocks as limited tools.  They are shy and have musk glands (not as bad as skunks, but distinctive) and will avoid people.  However, they are just as fierce as people believe, so odds are you don't want to mess with one.
