This is another of the Viper squadrons.  Here is a list of all the Viper squadrons.  This logo is on the wall of Colonel Tigh's quarters, so it is believed he served with them when he was a viper pilot.  Kara Thrace (Starbuck) was also a member of the Vigilantes.  

I think it appropriate that Tigh was a member of this squadron, as he has a pretty direct approach to justice.  

Weird.  Vigilante is a metal band.  I normally don't listen to the bands I pull up named after shirts I am doing but this site had a video that loads automatically and I accidentally listened to it.  It's not like any other metal I have heard and I actually like it a lot.  Normally I don't go for metal in any form but this has a synthetic edge to it I really like.  I think they are from Chile.  Really intriguing.  I might have to listen to some more.

A vigilante is someone who takes justice into his own hands.  I love Bullock from Batman the Animated Series always calling Batman vigilante.  Here is a story about vigilante justice that I can't disagree with.  I'm glad the woman got her sentence reduced.  I don't know if I would have acted any differently.  

That one was kind of a bummer.  I like to end on a high note, so I will show this really great video of some Chinese vigilantes beating the hell out of some purse snatchers.  Good to see community spirit lives somewhere in the world.
