Another great movie, and the first video game I played based on a movie. Remember Intellivision, the video game from 1979 with the horrible disc paddles? That was the game I had as a kid, and Tron was the best game for it. Interestingly enough, the Intellivision was test marketed in
Fresno, California (by the way, check out their mayor. Kind of hot). If you are from California odds are you see how funny that is.
I saw Tron last year at a great movie theater in San Francisco this year and two guys showed up in perfect Tron costumes. Really cool. This shirt rules in that no one who is not an uber nerd will know what it is from. I wish I could find an Encom t shirt (the software company that developed the Master Control Program). Today Encom is a real marketing company that promotes Mitsubishi polymers, so I think they might have an issue with an Encom t shirt promoting it as an evil company bent on world domination. Also, the RL Encom has a pretty lame logo.
Anyway, this is a good shirt to wear while piloting your light cycle since it glows in the dark. Also a good one to wear while watching the Big Lewbowski, as it was one of Jeff Bridges first roles.
Update: my buddy just linked me the video for the new
Tron trailer. Looks uber hot.
