Technically not from Spinal Tap.  I found a great 11 related cartoon on Xkcd.com.  They don't let you search the cartoons without scrolling all of them, but I found it again on geekwhiperin.  Here it is http://geekwhisperin.wordpress.com/2009/12/02/xkcd-spinal-tap-amps-go-to-11/

One of my best friends used to work in a recording studio in Hollywood (and had plenty of stories about what jerks most rock stars are).  One night I was hanging out at the studio with her and realized that most of the dials on one of the million dollar recording boards actually did go to 11.  I laughed my ass off.
