This shirt is funny as hell. I took it to a show last weekend and it blew out. Very popular. I'm glad I took the time to photograph all the closeups. Otherwise the brilliance of this shirt would totally be lost.

Of course, a certain amount of psychosis is more or less required to be a super hero or villain. Obviously the best example of this would be the Joker, but honestly his insanity is really a reflection of Batman's own. Bruce Wayne's mind is a dark place you don't want to visit. I found this great article on Topless Robot on Topless Robot (a site I like a lot) on The 10 Mental Illnesses Batman Indisputably Has. Very well done, and I am happy to report that I share coulrophobia with him.

I am ashamed to admit there are a couple of characters on this shirt I don't recognize. I guess my geek-fu is weak. However, in my defense DC has always had a ton of oddball and extraneous characters. This other article I found, Top 10 Lamest Superheroes of All Time, is mostly comprised of DC creations.

I can't let a reference to superheroes with questionable powers pass without a nod to one of my favorite movies, Mystery Men. Yet another movie that didn't get 1/100th the credit is should have. I thought it was great, and own a copy on DvD. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

Wow. The world is a weird place. I just found out that The Mystery Men is a barbershop quartet that sings Bible themed songs and has one of the most annoying websites ever. If you are turned on by pudgy white guys who have found enlightenment check it out. What really grinds my gears is somehow their site has a higher PageRank score than mine according to Google. Now I'm depressed.
