If you've ever visited Seattle you know what a weird/cool building the Space Needle is. It was designed to withstand wind up to 200 mph, so I guess it could deal with a giant tether ball. It also has 25 different lightning rods. The rotating ring weighs 125 tons and is moved by a 1.5 horsepower motor. Very cool engineering.
The weirdest thing I found was the first restaurant manager had acrophobia (fear of heights). Thank god my only major irrational fear is of
clowns (the vast majority of my other fears are perfectly rational, in my opinion).

homepage/. I love the fact that the photo on the home page shows beautiful, sunny Seattle. How many days a year do they really get that are that clear? Seems like every time I go up there I get rained on.
