I think this was one of my favorite Simpsons episode. The writing on the box apparently says "Mr. Sparkle is a magnet for foodstuffs...he will banish dirt to the land of wind and ghosts."

Word is the Fruity Oaty Bar ad from Serenity was inspired by the Mr. Sparkle commercial.

Mr. Sparkle is also a band from Boston. I violated my normal strict policy of never listening to random bands online and checked them out. Not bad, if you are looking for piano heavy softcore versions of Rockabilly. Sounds like they use a stand up bass, which I always appreciate. Here is the Mr. Sparkle homepage.
