This is a great shirt, and pretty much what I had in mind when I created the whole Fantasy Logo category for this site.  

Of course, if you were actually a Galactica crew member you would have to read this Galactica technical specifications I found.  Looks pretty good.  I wish I had an Ion engine for my car.  By the way, the "I" in TIE fighter from Star Wars stands for Ion, as in Twin Ion Engine.  Trivia for the day.

An ion, in case you were wondering, is an atom that has less or more electrons than protons, giving it a net positive or negative charge.  Not sure how that can be turned into a propulsion system.  Seems like that means an electric motor is technically an ion engine.  I guess that's why I'm running a t shirt selling website instead of being a scientist.

I tried to find something on weird science, but all I got was actual science and lame experiments for kids.  Since I already went off on how lame those are I will have to refrain.  I couldn't find any bands named Galactica, but I did find a DJ named Cylon, so I guess my streak holds.
