Before I start, I'd like to give a shout out to my friend Anthony, who told me he was going to order this shirt this week.

As I have stated ad nauseam, I am a fan of this movie, as well as anything else featuring Simon Pegg.  If you have not seen Spaced then you are a sad little person who needs to cultivate some style.  Two steps towards said style would include watching that show in it's entirety and buying this shirt (SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!).  That show is great, and if I could find a shirt for it I would definitely bring it onto the site.

The Winchester Tavern is named after the Winchester rifle hanging over the bar.  Whenever I see anything Winchester related I immediately think of the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, Ca.  Sarah Winchester, widow of the heir of the Winchester gun company, was told by a medium in Boston that she was haunted by the ghosts of all the Native Americans and others killed by Winchester rifles.  The only way to appease them would be to move West and build a house that would never stop construction.  I have been there, and it is freaky weird.  Stairs lead no where, doors open into walls, and nothing really makes sense.  160 rooms and $5.5 million.  Bizarrely cool.  

If you are into guns, check out the Winchester Rifles web site.  My brother-in-law has a bunch of them, as does my cousin.  I don't have a problem with guns (given the number of guns I have used in assorted video games it would be pretty hypocritical of me to develop a problem.  Odds are I am haunted by the ghosts of the millions of NPCs I have shot in FPS's) and think they are kind of cool, but don't own any myself.  Never really felt the need.  

There is a real life Winchester Tavern in Cleveland, Ohio.  Ironically the company I get these shirts from is also located in Cleveland.  I don't really believe in coincidences, so now my weird conspiracy theory brain process is in danger of hijacking this train of thought.  I will resist.  

I don't know how to interpret this next item.  I was looking to see if there was a band using the word Winchester like I have FOR EVERY OTHER SHIRT ON MY SITE but all I found is this guy Jesse Winchester.  He is a songwriter.  On the one hand I could say my streak of finding bands named after any pop item is holding true, but on the other hand I don't think a guy born with the name should count.  I guess my streak is broken.

There are also about a million Winchester Music Halls or schools or whatever, but nothing that really could qualify as pop or rock.  Too bad.  

HA!  Found one!  The Winchester Club is a some kind of rock band out of London, England.  Thank you Britain.  Once again the internet can bite me.  I rule!
