God I love this movie.  I love zombie movies, of course, and this one hits all the elements.  Slow moving zombies, kill them by hitting the head, and humor.  This was touted as the "first romantic zombie comedy or 'rom-zom-com'".  Simon Pegg rules.  By the way, if you like Simon Pegg check him out in a BBC series called Spaced.  He not only starred in it but wrote it, and it's really  funny.  He also co-wrote Shawn of the Dead.  He did an awesome comedy called Spaced for the BBC too.
