According to the Zombie Survival Guide, a shotgun is not the optimal weapon for fighting zombies. Limited range and ammo supplies make it not as good as a semi-automatic rifle for getting those all important head shots.

I gave away copies of the Zombie Survival Handbook to all my friends for Christmas a couple years ago. A lot of them looked at me weird, but I figure they will all thank me on the Night of the Living Dead.

I used to play Resident Evil in the house I lived in in Venice, Ca. My roommate used to watch sometimes but it kind of freaked her out. Then the movie came out and she insisted we go see it together. Now I can't say she is a zombie movie fan, but try to see all the RE movies together. A while ago we were talking about the current world status. She was pretty down on it all (terrorists, economy, earthquakes, etc.) and said maybe we need a run with a zombie outbreak to reset the planet. Kind of caught me out of the blue, but it made me realize how freaking cool she is. Of course, like every girl I have ever liked, she has never had the remotest interest in me outside of friendship, but she is a great friend and I value her immensely. She has in the last few years gotten into motorcycles and has started her own clothing company, Girls Gone Biker. I wish I could find an excuse to feature her stuff on my site, but biker chicks are about as far from nerds as you can actually get, so I will have to just ask you all to check out her site.
