I was dreading having to come up with yet another description for Resident Evil, as I have written about two dozen zombie related t-shirt descriptions and have kind of more or less milked that cow dry, but then I found my favorite new video game reviewer, Zero Punctuation staring Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw (WARNING: his review use extensive profanity, so steer clear if you are offended by that). This guy is brilliant and funny (and English). Here is his review for Resident Evil 5. Excellent.
I have been watching these review pretty much every day, and I have to admit Yahtzee has had an influence on how I write my own descriptions. I seem to be using more metaphors, if nothing else. I like my shirts and can't be as acerbic as he is (same with my blog) but maybe if I get some time I'll create another blog where I just bitch about stuff as entertainingly as possible.
I did find this Resident Evil fan video that is pretty good. Kind of captures the spirit of the game, if you know what I mean.
A couple shirts ago I linked some articles about ways to create some real life zombies that kind of freaked me out. I'm still feeling a little weird about it, so I don't think I will go down that path. Instead I found this awesome zombie brain eating video done by some guy named Jonathan Coulton. I think I have a new favorite music artist. Awesome. |
