While I am personally inclined towards cheaper shirts, I have a deep appreciation of these great shirts. Why are they more expensive? Most of them are higher quality garments, with more expensive printing techniques. Some of them are rare or hard to find. Some of them have more expensive royalties. Some of them are created by people who think their ideas are worth more. Are they right? I don't know. All I know is in order to get these shirts in I have to pay more. Therefore I have to charge more. That being said, you know the shirts I am willing to pay more for have to be great or I wouldn't mess around with them.
As long as I am on the subject of expensive T shirts, let me tell you about the clothing trade show I was at last week. I can honestly say that if we arrested everyone wearing an Ed Hardy t shirt and relocated them all to a colony at the bottom of the sea the average IQ of America would increase by about 15 points. This guy Christian Audigier is the biggest egomaniac on the planet. He was walking around the show with a bodyguard. He's a bad clothing designer, for God's sake. Maybe he was worried about he Good Taste Mafia putting a hit out on him.
Anyway, this category is where I am going to park all t shirts that cost more than $20. I will do what I can to keep the cost down, but some of these are amazingly cool.
