This is a great comic strip from way back in the day. It also has yet another great villain name: Ming the Merciless of the planet Mongo. I wish I could be called something like that, but Dave the Merciless of the planet Earth doesn't have the same punch, if you know what I mean.

Of course, there is a band of some kind called Ming the Merciless. I really couldn't tell what kind of music it is by the Facebook page so I actually listened to a couple minutes. Beat heavy club dance music. Not bad, actually. I don't mind techno or house music. I find when I am doing a really long drive house dance music really helps.

Now, just because it was a cool comic book does not mean it was necessarily a great TV show. Check out the worst fight scene ever in this clip (not to mention worst costumes, worst props (tinfoil covered cardboard swords), and worst palace guards ever. If I were Ming the Merciless I'd have had the whole room executed for not keeping their prisoner under control). Looks like fighting on planet Mongo involves a lot of spanking and light restraint.

If you ever find yourself on Mongo, you might need this map of the planet. Also note that in a massive fit of originality and modesty Ming the Merciless named his capital city Mingo.
