It's funny. In my circle calling someone Emo is an insult, but there are people out there who purposely identify themselves as Emo (or at least seem to).

The best definition for Emo found (thank you Urban Dictionary) is "Like a Goth, only much less dark and much more Harry Potter." Fairly accurate, in my opinion.

I know I might be alienating potential customers by spouting off like this, but trust me, if you grew up in a upper middle class suburban neighborhood you will be far better off going nerd than going Emo. You can still listen to Dashboard Confessional if you really have to. No one really cares that much.

I think my dislike of Emo graduated from a modest dislike to full blown disgust when I was subjected to Emo Peter Parker in the last Spiderman.
