This is not the best selling
Edward Scissorhands girls shirt my vendor offers, but I am a sucker for anything with
Japanese on it. Somehow it makes the shirt cooler. Not that Edward Scissorhands needs help in that regard. After all there aren't a lot of movies out there that feature a teen idol steam punk idiot savants in
Gothic leather created in a lab by
Vincent Price.
Adding
girls t shirts to my site has already paid off, if only because I had a birthday party for a girl to go to last week and had a gift right there. I have gotten a lot of women asking why I seem so focused on men's shirts rather than women's. My answer is always "
Have you ever BEEN to a comic or gaming convention?" I think it fair to say the majority of customers for my shirts are men.
That being said, I don't want to dis the distaff. There are
nerd girls out there. I just never seem to meet them. So I am going to be expanding the girls section as rapidly as my budget allows.
If you are interested, here are some slightly vague instructions on how to make your own
Edwards Scissorhands costume. I don't think I have the body to pull that off. Or, for that matter, the face. Life is so unfair.
Both
Burton and
Danny Elfman list this movie as their favorite personal work. Also considered for the role of Edward was
Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Robert Downey, Jr. and
William Hurt. It makes me laugh to think of those guys doing it.
