When I first started playing D&D we had a guy who was usually the Dungeon Master. Like most pre teen DMs he had a sadistic streak, but he was subtle enough to not just kill us outright. Instead, he would "randomly" roll up an encounter with the Rust Monster and ruin our gear. Nice.
Ever watch
the IT Crowd? Great show from England. Last week we watched the episode "Jen the Fredo" and they had a ton on D&D (or a RPG game suspiciously similar to D&D). Really funny.
In case you are reading this and have no idea what I am talking about, here is a page answering the question "
What is D&D?". If you need this question answered than you can answer a question for me, "What are you doing on this site?"
Sigh. Why do I keep doing this to myself? I have fond memories of watching the
Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, but now, watching it a few decades later, I have just realized how lame it really was. The credits alone were enough to convince me not to mess with it. I think the baby unicorn was probably the end for me.
LAWL. I just found this great
8 Bit D&D reinactment. I think it fair to say that an one point in his or her RPG career every gamer has had a party like this one.
