So when I was a kid, there was an arcade called Game House that was literally a house filled with video games. In addition, it was a house in a part of town that had no other houses. It was on an island by itself where three streets met and had nothing but warehouses surrounding it. The nearest residence was a trailer park about a half mile away. Of course, it was on the bad side of town and our parents all banned us to a kid from going there, so naturally we hung out there at every opportunity. If ever there was a house where a child molester lived and attracted kids this would be it, but the owner was actually pretty cool until he got busted for selling drugs and illegal fireworks out of the back room and the place was shut down.
Anywhere, this was where I first saw and played Dragon's Lair. I discovered early on that it was actually more fun to watch someone else play than to play myself, especially since it cost $.50 and I was a nerd on a budget. It was also kind of hard to play, so I saw this screen a lot. This was the first game to use a laser disk, the precursor to the CD and DVD, so it has a lot of nostalgic history. If you find a copy and want to play it here is a
walkthrough that should help.
