Contra was another game I used to play at the highly dubious Game House. If you are going to play it you pretty much need the cheat code. Here it is: ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A. This will give you 30 lives.

This game came out shortly after the details of the Iran-Contra affair were released. The funniest thing to me is the Republicans paid the Iranian government $40 million to keep the hostages until after the November elections. This is the affair that got Reagan the name "the Teflon coated president."
