As a kid Star Trek was my show and no character was cooler than Mr.Spock. Smart, chill, and logical. He was all that and the only character in the series to kick Kirk's ass is a strait up fight (twice). I spent a lot of time trying to learn the nerve pinch, how to raise a single eyebrow, and the Vulcan live long and prosper sign. Unfortunately I only succeeded on the last one, and can still do it at will today. If ever a character deserved a church dedicated to him, it is Spock.
