Ok, I will admit Picard is pretty cool, as far as captains who are pale imitations of Kirk go. A little too passive for my blood.
Of course, since this is a girls shirt I really should address the question of whether or not
Picard is sexy. Honestly, I'm lost without a compass on this one. I can say I have never found him sexy, but then I have not found any man sexy. Not in my nature, I guess.
I will say I think of myself as extremely sexy (shameless plug alert, ladies), and have a full head of rather lush dark hair, so I guess from that perspective I can say he is not. Of course, Patrick Stewart is number one on this list of
10 men that made bald sexy. On the other hand, Dwight Eisenhower is number 10 on that list, so it's not like there is a lot of competition in the bald sexy man category.
I have a friend who more or less shaves his head. He has the right skull shape to make it work. I was talking about getting a haircut and he was more or less astounded at what good haircut costs. I am a cheap bastard in most things, but when it comes to hair I tend to splurge.
As long as we are talking about skull shapes, I found this article on
how to be a phrenologist. Of all the pseudosciences out there
phrenology is the one that makes me laugh the most. Something about feeling the bumps on someones skull in order to understand their personality I find endlessly ridiculous. I tried to find a school where you could learn to be a phrenologist, but looks like the last one close in 1908. Too bad. That would have been hilarious to link.
Anyway, most of the costumes I found weren't bad enough to be funny. I did find this weird page that seems to feature
Weird Al Yankovic trying to decide between Kirk or Picard. If any of you can figure out what that site was about let me know.
I think I might get into trouble for posting this, but I did find this clip that more or less settles the whole
Kirk/Picard question once and for all. Kind of makes sense to me. Kirk got into a lot more fist fights than Picard ever did.
