I was looking for cool stuff about Ben Franklin and found out that in an earlier draft of the Declaration of Independence he wrote in a line inviting King George to "kisse our collective arse."  The man had style.  Too bad the line was edited out.  

He invented a lot of stuff.  Everyone knows about the lightning rod, the Franklin stove, and bifocal glasses, but millions of prostate cancer survivors will thank (or curse) him for the invention of the flexible urinary catheter.  I always wonder exactly what thought process leads to inventions like that, although in the long run I am probably happier that I don't know.  He also invented the glass harmonica, known as the Armonica.  If you want to learn to play one you can do so here http://sln.fi.edu/franklin/musician/virtualarmonica.htmlplay one you can here
