So I now have this shirt in mens, womens, and toddlers. I am considering infant onesies. I think it fair to say I am a fan of this show, and this logo is great.
I like great logos. I think the one we use on our site is pretty good. I paid a friend of a friend for it (by the way, if you are looking for logo work send me and email and I will hook you up with her. She's great). I can never really come up with something great on my own. I did find this list of 45 Rules for Logo Designs. Seems like some good advice, although a lot of it is kind of general.
If you are also a fan I found a site that has some BSG logo wallpaper. Pretty cool.
I think this shirt works for women because the new series actually has some amazing female characters. On thing about the original series is I can name almost the entire cast but for the life of me I cannot remember a single female. I think there was a brunette who was Apollo's love interest but I can't place her. Seems like a pretty sexist organization back in the day.
Of course, since I am a guy talking about women and BSG, I should probably mention the girl I found most appealing. Honestly, it can only be Tory Foster. I fell in love with here when she was a minor character and was very happy to see her develop into a major persona. Ironically she doesn't even appear in this image of the hottest women of BSG. Thank god. If less guys are into her then in the grander scheme of male competition there is less for me.
I should probably research the actress and learn more about her, but I think that would end up depressing me. I learned the hard way with my love from SG1 when I found out she shacked up with Michael Shanks and had a kid with him. I know if I look into her she is probably happily married with two kids and lives in a mansion somewhere in LA. Doesn't quite vibe with my dream image, so I think I will pass.
I also had a thing for Kandyse McClure, who played Dee, but kind of lost interest in here when she turned out to be kind of co-dependent. I was sad when she killed herself (Dee, I mean). I think I will refrain from researching Kandyse as well for the same reasons. |
